Introducing Two-way Text Fraud Alerts

We are happy to introduce a complimentary enhanced protection of your Visa debit card with two-way text fraud alerts. Two-way text fraud alerts is a monitoring system to identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent transaction activity. Learn more about our Fraud Protection.

Current Customers: You will be receiving a text message during November 6th-11th, 2017 to confirm enrollment of this service. If you have any questions, send a secure message through CityNET Online Banking.


Card Protection:

To protect your account, we monitor your Visa debit card transactions for potentially fraudulent activity which may include a sudden change in locale (such as when a U.S.–issued card is used unexpectedly overseas), a sudden string of costly purchases, or any pattern associated with new fraud trends around the world. We also monitor online transactions, such as with Online Bill Pay, for possible fraudulent activity.

If we suspect fraudulent Visa debit card use, we may text, call or email you to validate the legitimacy of your transactions. Your participation in responding to our call is critical to prevent potential risk and avoid restrictions we may place on the use of your card. Please make sure your records with us, including address, phone numbers, and email address are current.

Text – Text alerts require enrollment. Once you have enrolled, you will be able to verify transactions immediately.

Phone – If you are not enrolled for text verification, our automated system will call you to verify recent transaction activity on your card, via your touchtone keypad. If you do not answer, we will leave you a message with a case number and toll-free number to call and verify the transactions.

Email - As a last resort, if we have your email on file, we will email you with information about a transaction. A case number and toll-free number will be provided so you can call and verify the suspected transactions.

Our goal, quite simply, is to minimize your exposure to risk and the impact of any fraud. To ensure we can continue to reach you whenever potential fraud is detected, please keep us informed of your correct phone number and address at all times.

In the meantime, please be diligent in monitoring transaction activity on your account and contact us immediately if you identify any fraudulent transactions. An easy and convenient way to monitor your account is through online banking and the use of eStatements.
